Meek Mill Respects Jay-Z Even If They ‘Don’t See Eye to E…

Meek Mill has opened up about his relationship with Jay-Z while shouting out a few of his other hip-hop compadres.

On Friday (August 1), the Philadelphia native took to X to applaud the work ethics of T.I. and Rick Ross, as well as Jigga, although he acknowledged that he doesn’t often see “eye to eye” with the Roc Nation boss.

“Ross my brother,” Meek wrote. “I seen him and [Lil] Wayne go to the studio til 8am get back up and follow back up the next day… I had like 700k.. I realized n***as in the hood complaining high and waking up at 2pm …I weighed the scale and took the rich route no complaint just grind!!!!”

In his next post, he wrote: “Jigga my oldhead too… we don’t see eye to eye on every point because he a billionaires in another world and older than me but he my family too in my eyes… [He] gave my younger son his name help get get back home quicker to my older son! And gave me the blueprint!”

In 2019, Meek and Hov co-founded nonprofit organization the REFORM Alliance, dedicated to improving parole and probation policies based on Meek’s history of arrests. Last year, the organization passed a milestone international resolution with the UN to protect the rights of those on probation or parole.

“In five years, I think we will change the way the system operates.” Meek told Complex about REFORM Alliance in July. “We’re trying to provide resources, change statutes and laws, so this doesn’t continue to grow as a problem, because we all know that the system that’s in place has not been working for Black and brown culture.”

Elsewhere in his latest X posts, Meek also counted T.I. as the “first” to believe that the Too Good to Be True rapper could be a “major artist,” adding that marketing the Atlanta rhymer provided helped launch his career.

“The point I’m making I learn from the greatest directly, ima be one of the greatest to ever do this shit!!!” Meek concluded.
