Ye appears to be keeping tabs on Toronto rapper Top5‘s hunt for revenge after a brutal stabbing in London last month.

Top5 was stabbed in the neck by a masked individual while talking to fans at the Wireless Festival, where he had traveled to watch Drake perform. The attack left him hospitalized, but he recovered quickly and was soon spotted in Paris, which shocked Ye. In a leaked text exchange shared by DJ Akademiks last month, Ye expressed disbelief at Top5’s rapid recovery.

Weeks later, Kanye checked back in, pushing for an update, where he questioned why Top5 hasn’t been active as much. According to Top5, he hasn’t gotten any sleep trying to find the person who’s allegedly hiding.

“You been quiet lately. Did you get your revenge yet? I watched documentaries about you. It usually takes you 7 days, what’s taking so long?”

Top5 replied, “There hiding YeMy shiesty has been on for 120 hours looking for them. I HAVEN’T SLEPT IN DAYSSSSSS.”

The Sun reported that police claimed Top5 was “approached by a group of individuals who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg. “He was taken to the hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage,” read the report.

The unusual bond between Ye and Top5 has drawn attention in recent months. Their relationship began on shaky ground, with Ye once calling out The Game for associating with Top5, who allegedly threatened Ye over the phone. However, the two later appear to have reconciled, and Ye even gifted Top5 a swastika-shaped chain, raising eyebrows across social media.

Top5 has been arrested multiple times in 2025 and remains a controversial figure. A 2021 first-degree murder charge against him was stayed, meaning the prosecution is paused, but not dismissed.
