Immigrant Owner of Texas’ Trump Burger Arrested by ICE

The owner of the Houston-area Trump Burger restaurant chain is facing deportation.

Click2Houston reports that ICE detained Roland Mehrez Beainy when it was discovered that he failed to leave the US by the time his visa expired in 2024. The 28-year-old entered the US in 2019 from Lebanon; he was required to leave the country by Feb. 12, 2024, per his non-immigrant visitor visa.

ICE arrested him on May 16, 2025. On June 13, a judge granted him bond while he undergoes immigration proceedings.

“Despite false claims to the contrary, Roland Mehrez Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that prevented his arrest or removal from the United States,” ICE said in a statement.

“Under the current administration, ICE is committed to restore integrity to our nation’s immigration system by holding all individuals accountable who illegally enter the country or overstay the terms of their admission. This is true regardless of what restaurant you own or political beliefs you might have.”

Beainy opened his fourth Trump Burger location in Houston in April. He also has locations in Kemah, Bellville, and Flatonia.

According to Chron, Beainy also applied for legal status through a woman he alleged was his wife. When DHS investigated the matter, it couldn’t prove the pair ever lived together. DHS told the outlet that Beainy is also being investigated for defrauding the immigration system.

“USCIS revoked the petition after evidence, including admissions from the petitioner’s own family, exposed his marriage as a sham designed to game the system,” the statement read. “This person has no Green Card, a history of illegal marriages, and an assault charge. DHS is actively pursuing all legal avenues to address this flagrant abuse of our immigration laws.”

Beainy issued a comment to the outlet, saying, “90 percent of the shit they’re saying is not true.”
