Country Star Steps Back From Tour To Prioritize Health

Rising country music star Ella Langley has announced that she will be taking time away from touring with Riley Green and Morgan Wallen this summer to recover from an illness.
On Monday, August 11, the 26-year-old shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram about prioritizing rest and recovery, promising fans she’ll be back stronger and ready to perform in September.
“I’m sad to be posting this. The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and been feeling more run down than ever,” the “Weren’t For The Wind” songstress said. She added, “Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down.” She finished her post with a Matthew 11:28 Bible verse that read, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Though the comments were turned off on her original Instagram post, fans took to other social media platforms to share words of support and understanding.
“I’m proud of her for doing what’s best for herself. She doesn’t enjoy disappointing her fans, I’m sure she’d much rather be playing her scheduled dates than having to make an announcement like this,” someone said on Reddit. Another person commented, “No! I was looking forward to seeing her!,” with many other comments echoing the disappointment.
Langley shared her health update shortly after dropping her new track with BigXthaPlug, “Hell at Night,” which was released on Friday, August 8. She had also celebrated the one-year anniversary of her Hungover album on August 2.
Taste of Country reports that Langley will miss approximately 6 shows in Ohio, Montana, Colorado, and Iowa. The “You Look Like You Love Me” singer said, “I’ll be back on the road in September, ready to give you my all.”
