Zoe Kravitz Recalls Almost Losing Pet Snake in Taylor Swi…

Zoe Kravitz’s pet snake liked Taylor Swift’s home so much, he tried to become a permanent resident.
In her Aug. 12 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Kravitz shared the hilarious anecdote, which took place earlier this year during the fires that devastated Los Angeles.
“We ended up having to stay there for about two weeks,” the actress explained. She was accompanied by her mother, Lisa Bonet, and their pet snake, Orpheus. Kravitz described Swift’s home as being “from the ’30s, something you want to preserve and take care of.”
The Blink Twice director was then put in a “pickle” when, while cleaning up, Bonet informed her that Orpheus had slithered out of her sight when she put him down for a “second.”
Bonet eventually found the sneaky snake hiding in a hole in the wall next to a banquette, or a large bench, in one of the bathrooms, with Kravitz walking in to find her clutching Orpheus by the tail. However, they struggled to get him out.
“”I was like, ‘Either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that there’s a snake somewhere in her house,'” Kravitz explained. After calling the manager of Swift’s home, who recommended they try to move the banquette, the desperate mother-daughter pair ended up having to do a bit of demolition to get Orpheus out, lest he live in the walls of Swift’s home for eternity.
“We’re ripping up the tile. We’re scratching the walls,” Kravitz explained. “I said to her house manager, ‘Obviously, I’m gonna pay for everything to be fixed. Please just don’t say anything until it’s fixed.'”
Unfortunately for Kravitz, nothing gets past Swift. “I remember calling her saying, ‘Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something,'” she recalled. “And she was like, ‘Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?'”
Swift has a lot of new songwriting material, between rogue snakes and her romance with Travis Kelce. On Aug. 12, Swift announced her forthcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.
