West NYC adidas Rod Laver Zabar’s Release Date
The West NYC x adidas Rod Laver “Zabar’s” brings deli culture straight into sneaker form. Zabar’s, the iconic Upper West Side shop, turns 90 this year. To celebrate, adidas and West NYC teamed up for a tribute that feels natural to the neighborhood.
The Rod Laver gets dressed in white mesh and leather, much like the aprons worn by Zabar’s staff. Bright orange accents highlight the design, instantly tying back to the store’s bold signage and packaging. If you’ve walked past the corner of Broadway and 80th, you’ll spot the reference immediately.
West NYC sits only a few blocks away, which makes the partnership feel more like a community handshake than a corporate collab. Zabar’s staff even laced up pairs for the shoot, turning the shoe into something of an unofficial uniform. That touch gives the project a sense of real local flavor.
The West NYC x adidas Rod Laver “Zabar’s” launches August 23, 2025, exclusively at West NYC in-store and online. Pricing is set at $100 in men’s sizes.
