Fivio Foreign Talks Popularity of Streamers, Says They’re…

Fivio Foreign has shared a polarizing take on the popularity of streamers.
During a recent sit-down with Jim Jones on his Artist 2 Artist platform, the Brooklyn drill star insisted he has no personal issues with content creators, despite his past run-in with PlaqueBoyMax at the top of the year. In a clip reposted by DJ Akademiks, Fivio explained that many popular streamers only gained their traction by hosting “cool people” on their platforms.
“Rappers is cool, right? Streamers… I’m just telling you nothing but facts… the streamers got lit from having people on their stream. The cool people on they stream,” he argued.
Fivio added that fans are more attached to the platform itself than to the individuals running it: “It’s the streamer that’s lit, they [fans] like the platform. People like the platform. People don’t really like the individual.”
Jones noted that Fivio managed to flip his own streamer controversy into a moment and even a song. That incident took place earlier this year when Fivio and Lil Tjay joined PlaqueBoyMax’s stream at an Airbnb.
Things went downhill after Max asked them to stop smoking indoors to avoid fines from the property owner. The clash quickly went viral, leading Fivio to drop a diss track while Tjay released “No Smoking” merch.
With Fivio’s latest comments, social media users have been quick to dismiss him, including viral streamer BendaDonnn, who shared several laughing emojis in the comment section of Akademiks’ repost.
“Rappers need Streamer’s more than Streamers need Rappers,” another person commented. Someone else wrote, “We havent heard about fivio since plaqueboymax kicked him out the crib so that ends his whole argument.”
