Jaylen Brown’s Father Arrested for Attempted Murder

Jaylen Brown’s father, Marselles Brown, has been arrested on an attempted murder charge for allegedly stabbing a youth football coach following an argument about parking.

As reported by TMZ, the NBA star’s father, who was formerly a boxer, was arrested following the incident on Wednesday (August 20). According to the Las Vegas Metro Police, Marselles allegedly got into an argument with another man at All American Park that led to him stabbing the man.

Authorities said that Marselles fled the scene of the alleged stabbing but was arrested later that day. He’s scheduled to make his first court appearance on Thursday (August 21).

“Under the above event number and time, LVMPD responded to a stabbing in the 1500 block of South Buffalo Drive,” the LVMPD office of public information said in a statement shared with Complex. “Officers arrived and located a male suffering from several stab wounds. The male was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition. The suspect was stopped a short distance away from the scene and detained. Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as 57-year-old Quenton Marcelles Brown. Brown was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for attempt murder.”
