Logic Says He Hasn’t See Estranged, ‘Mentally Ill’ Mother…

Logic keeps his distance from his mother, he says.

The rapper was a guest on the Wednesday (Aug. 20) episode of The Adam Friedland Show and talked about his complicated relationship with his parents.

Logic’s father, Robert Bryson Hall, was largely absent and abused drugs throughout the rapper’s childhood but once asked him for $1 million upon reuniting. But while sitting down with Friedland, Logic explained that his relationship with his mother, Terry Lee Miller, had soured.

“One of the last times I had spoken to my mom was on my 21st birthday,” Logic said. “And I hadn’t seen her in a few years. And the thing about my mother is, she’s just a mentally ill person.”

“I’ve definitely relinquished any anger or any of that that I had,” he continued. “But I hadn’t seen her in a few years since I was probably 17, 18. And the last time I had seen her, she was like covered in blood and naked and screaming and the police were there. It was a whole thing.”

Logic also said his mother blamed his sister for their estrangement, but he said the accusation “doesn’t make any sense.”

“So, I call my mother after having not spoken in a few years. And I’m just like, ‘Look, respectfully, I don’t talk to you because of you and because there is no mutual respect here, and it’s your way or the highway with everything.'”

Logic claimed that his mother “screamed” at him and called him the N-word before hanging up.

On 2012 song “Dear God,” Logic accused his mom of trying to kill him when he was 9 years old.

What about the time I was nine and my mama almost murdered me?/ Don’t think I forgot that shit, it still burdens me,” he raps on the track. “Her bare hands tight around my throat/’I can’t breathe’ I screamed, ‘I can’t breathe, Mama/ Don’t you want me, Mama? Don’t you love me, Mama? What the fuck?’
