Even some of our best actors have broken character during hilarious scenes.

As a viral video trend on social media, people are recalling sitcom and variety show scenes where actors lost their composure, including 1990s classics like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Martin.

In the 1992 Fresh Prince episode “That’s No Lady, That’s My Cousin,” character Carlton Banks (Alfonso Ribeiro) made a crack about a burly female schoolmate, after which he was forcefully pushed into a locker. For years, people have joked that the moment was probably unscripted, considering how shocked Ribeiro and costars Will Smith and Larenz Tate looked.

“I never peeped!!! he was waiting for somebody to say “CUT!” Real bad ,” one person replied on X, formerly Twitter.

Another scene was from The Jamie Foxx Show episode “I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up,” where Foxx reenacted the infamous O.J. Simpson moment where he tried on gloves during his 1995 murder trial for the killing of his late wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ron Goldman. Foxx made light of the nail-biting moment, which costar and Saturday Night Live alum Garrett Morris couldn’t stop laughing at.

Additional scenes came from shows like My Wife and Kids and Saturday Night Live, the latter in which Ego Nwodim literally shook the table during the “Lisa From Temecula” skit. Guest-starring in the episode was Pedro Pascal, who could hardly get his lines out while he laughed at Nwodim nearly dropping everyone’s food.
