Michael Jackson’s Son Prince Honors Dad on What Would’ve …
Michael Jackson would have turned 67 on August 29—and while the world remembered the singer, his son paid tribute too.
Prince Jackson took to his Instagram story on MJ’s birthday to repost several images and remembrance posts honoring the King of Pop. Among the reposts was onr from Jackson’s nephew Taryll with a photo of the singer and the caption, “I miss you, the world misses you. Thank you for your guidance and love. King of ALL kings… past, present & future. PERIOD!”
Taryll is the son of Michael’s brother, Tito.
Jackson also reposted a tribute image from another account with a caption that read in part: “Remembering the vibrant artist today. May your legacy of music and dance inspire us forever.”
Among his other reposts were a video of Jackson dancing and a photo of him as a young child.
Jackson died on June 25, 2009 after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles. Jackson’s death was later ruled to be a homicide as a result acute propofol intoxication. His personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and sentence to four years in prison.
The singer’s son recently celebrated some happy personal news—announcing he and his girlfriend Molly recently got engaged.
In a series of sweet photos, including one with Katherine Jackson, Prince wrote, “8 years down infinity to go. Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories. We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together. I’m excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories. I love you babs.”
Jackson had three children—Paris, Prince and Bigi Jackson (previously known as Blanket). Paris has amassed over 5 million followers on Instagram and appeared to be on vacation in Venice, Italy on her dad’s birthday.
