Drake on Whether He’s ‘Scared Away’ From Los Angeles: ‘No…

Drake doesn’t have qualms about returning to Los Angeles despite his feud with West Coast rap icon Kendrick Lamar.
While reconnecting with Bobbi Althoff for a chat on her new podcast, Not This Again, around the 1:08:00 mark, the five-time Grammy winner was discussing travel when Althoff abruptly questioned him about the City of Angels.
Last year, Drizzy and Kendrick issued back-and-forth diss tracks, ending with K. Dot’s “Not Like Us,” which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for multiple weeks. In February, the song also won in all Grammy categories it was nominated in, and after the sweep, it was performed during Kendrick’s Super Bowl LIX Apple Music Halftime performance. Months before, Drake sued Universal Music Group over “Not Like Us” for defamation, along with streaming services like Spotify and iHeartRadio for allegedly inflating the song’s streams.
When Althoff asked if Drake had a “special place” for him and his “rich” companions to travel, the rapper said he wants to “come back to LA.”
“Are you scared away from L.A.?” Althoff asked.
“Wow. Spicy,” Drake said before repeating her question. “No, I’m not.”
When the podcaster asked Drake why he hasn’t yet returned to L.A. for a tour, Drake referenced his fifth headlining tour, It’s All a Blur, which had two dates in August 2023.
“I did, by the way. “When all that happened. I [had] just finished an American tour,” Drake continued. “And so I got to do another one, you know, they don’t happen like every [year].”
Since his public falling out with Kendrick, Drake has mainly toured overseas in Australia and Europe, more recently having a weekend-long Wireless Festival takeover.
