Frank Ocean Appears to Reiterate Sexuality With Instagram…

Amid rumors he’s in a relationship with UFC bantamweight contender Payton Talbott, singer-songwriter and director Frank Ocean shared a vague Instagram Story post that appears to reiterate his sexuality.

In the post, Frank Ocean shared a screenshot of what seems to be results from an online quiz. “Overall: Bi: Homosexual-Leaning,” the screenshot reads, alongside the infinity symbol and the rotating heart emoji.

Since there’s so little context alongside the screenshot, it’s unclear what the post could indicate. It could be about his sexuality, or someone that he’s close to.

In 2012, shortly before the release of his debut album Channel Orange, Ocean shared an open letter that saw him open about his first true love, a man for whom he had unrequited feelings when he was 19.

In an interview about the letter that same year, he avoided putting labels on his sexuality when asked if he was bisexual, because he has songs that express his desires for people of all genders.

“I’ll respectfully say that life is dynamic and comes along with dynamic experiences, and the same sentiment that I have towards genres of music, I have towards a lot of labels and boxes and shit. I’m in this business to be creative—I’ll even diminish it and say to be a content provider,” he told GQ. “People should pay attention to that in the letter: I didn’t need to label it for it to have impact. Because people realize everything that I say is so relatable, because when you’re talking about romantic love, both sides in all scenarios feel the same shit. As a writer, as a creator, I’m giving you my experiences.”

Recently, he’s fueled rumors that he’s dating Payton Talbott, appearing alongside the UFC fighter in several photos. Ocean publicly supported Talbott before one of his fights, although neither of them has publicly commented on the speculation.

When Talbott was asked about his sexuality in a recent interview with The New York Times, the UFC fighter said he didn’t feel the need to publicly address who he’s involved with. “Who I’m trying to have sex with is none of your business, unless I’m trying to have sex with you,” he said. “I don’t feel I owe anyone anything. I’m just going to try to be myself, and the people who get it will get it.”
