When the news broke that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had gotten engaged in late August, it had fans all across the globe buzzing. It also led to quite a few people sharing their thoughts on the pair’s relationship.

One of the most recent public figures to give their take on the newly engaged duo is comedian Nikki Glaser. Glaser shared her thoughts while talking with Entertainment Tonight at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. She said she thought that Swift and Kelce’s engagement would likely “ruin relationships”. However, it might not be in the way you may think.

“I’m not one to say I saw it coming, but it’s just very obvious to me that this was going to be lasting forever,” she said.

Glaser said that when she watched the recent episode of the New Heights podcast, she could see the bond that Swift and Kelce had and felt that Kelce was “the kind of guy that you want your best friend to be with.

“He’s obsessed with her, and that’s what every girl deserves, and every guy deserves,” she said, noting that it’s clear that Swift and Kelce “worship” one another.

“I think it’s gonna ruin some relationships, to be honest,” she went on, suggesting that this engagement might cause some women to rethink their current relationships.

“Because I think a lot of people watched that and were like, ‘I deserve that. I deserve that type of enthusiasm, and I deserve that kind of person who celebrates me in that way.’ I think there’s a lot of people watching it like, ‘Maybe I deserve better.'”

Swift and Kelce have not yet shared any details about when their wedding will be or where it may be held.
