LaVar Ball Debuts New Prosthetic After Leg Amputation

LaVar Ball is mobile once again, showing off his new prosthetic leg months after his amputation.

In video posted to social media, Ball is seen walking out of the Hanger Clinic with his new device and a big smile on his face. Ball says, “I’m walking now, baby. I’ll tell ya, I didn’t think I was going to be moving this fast but I see I am now. I told you, I like this man.”

Ball then shouts, “Alright, see y’all later, thank you again!” as he gets into a waiting vehicle after his medical appointment.

In another video posted to the bigballerbrand Instagram account, Ball poses in front of a Rolls Royce while showing off the prosthetic.

The father of LiAngelo, LaMello and Lonzo tells the camera, “Big Baller is back, baby. Yes indeed, Hanger, I’m going to tell y’all again, Hanger is the best place to get prosthetics. Trust me when I tell you. I came in there rolling, and with the staff and the people they got, I came out strolling.”

He adds, “I’m back baby, Hanger I love y’all to death and the staff you guys got, keep doing your thing. But Big Baller’s back to strolling.”

It was earlier this year when Ball confirmed he had to have his right leg amputated. Ball explained the issue had originally started as an infection due to poor management of his diabetes.

In an interview with Slam Magazine Ball shared how his sons were by his side and helped him along with his recovery after the amputation. Ball told Slam, “I must admit, my boys kept me rolling because a couple of times I was like, ‘I can’t do any more blood transfusions, I can’t do any more operations on my body, I’m ready to shut it down.’”
