Celeste Rivas’ Ex-Teacher Says Victim Met D4vd on Social …

A California teacher recently told his class that Celeste Rivas, the teenage girl who had been identified by the human remains found in a towed Tesla registered to D4vd, was his former student.
In a video posted on TikTok, the teacher can be seen sharing a photo of himself with Celeste from his phone to his students. The two were standing in front of a poster that was hung up in the classroom. The instructor also revealed the person standing next to D4vd in the viral photo from the parking lot, 0.3 miles from the home where Celeste used to live, was also one of his students.
TMZ spoke with the unidentified teacher, who said they were his students when he taught at Lakeland Village middle school in Lake Elsinore, but he no longer works there.
“When I taught her, she met this dude on social media. He was a rapper in LA,” he said in the video, referring to Celeste and D4vd. “He came and got her. She ran away from home. She was gone for, like, a month. The cops found her in Hollywood, brought her back to our school.”
“She came back to our school, kinda told people this story,” he continued. “She disappeared again in May of that year, May of 2024.”
After her second disappearance, his students told him about what happened with Celeste, claiming the artist, presumably D4vd, was being blackmailed.
That was the last time that he heard about Celeste.
The teacher tells TMZ that he decided to share this information with his students as a “cautionary tale” about the dangers of social media.
Rivas’ dismembered and severely decomposed remains were discovered in the front trunk of the impounded car following complaints of a foul odor emanating from the vehicle. The teenager had a “Shhh” tattoo on her right index finger, which the singer also sports on the same location.
Rivas’ mother told TMZ that her daughter had a boyfriend named David. D4vd, who was born David Anthony Burke, allegedly recorded a demo titled “Celeste.”
In a statement, obtained by Complex, the LAPD said “several items of evidence were recovered” after a search warrant was executed at the Hollywood Hills home where D4vd had been staying, as reported by ABC News. Detectives are expected to analyze these findings in the coming days.
