Angela Simmons Celebrates 38th Birthday With Glam Celebra…

Angela Simmons rang in her 38th birthday in Miami this week, marking the milestone as a newly single woman after her high-profile breakup with rapper Yo Gotti earlier this summer.
The celebration kicked off in true Miami fashion with a yacht party on the Miami River. Simmons boarded the Kiki at Sea yacht surrounded by close friends and a setup that left no doubt about who the night was for.
Giant cutouts of her face, floating balloons, and a champagne-and-caviar presentation set the tone for the evening. The yacht cruise acted as part one of a two-stage party, giving Simmons a chance to soak in the city lights from the water before heading to her next destination.
That destination was Habibi Miami, a hotspot known for its over-the-top nightlife experiences. Simmons arrived with more than a dozen guests and rolled straight into VIP treatment.
At her table, she was greeted with Habibi’s signature bottle presentation—this time served dramatically from a mummy’s case. She was also gifted a jeweled crown, which she wore while dancing and enjoying Middle Eastern dishes paired with plenty of champagne.
The birthday marked Simmons’ first since confirming in June that she and Yo Gotti had officially split after three years together. Speaking on Angie Martinez’s IRL Podcast earlier this summer, Simmons explained that while the decision was difficult, she was entering a new chapter of growth. “No, I’m not with him,” she said. “Not by choice, but I respect him. It’s all love.”
Yo Gotti had famously professed his interest in Simmons back in 2016 through his hit “Down in the DM,” and years later, the two went public as a couple.
They were regulars on red carpets, collaborated professionally, and sparked engagement rumors before Simmons made the call to step away. “I had to make a decision,” she explained on the podcast. “I can publicly say that I’m not with him anymore. But as far as details, I would just never. I’m just not that girl.”
