Nike SB and Ishod Wair have consistently amped up the fusion of function and storytelling with their shoe releases, and the latest iteration is no exception. Titled the Nike SB Ishod 2 “Billiards”, the latest drop is based on all of the pool halls associated with Wair’s career as a professional skater.
The shoe itself dons a simple White base with accents of patent leather in University Red, Amarillo, Navy, and Green. The four colors combined on the upper work to replicate the aesthetic of a set of billiard balls under bright lights. However, it is on the insoles of the sneakers where we see the story come to life with hand-painted graphics of pool cues meeting billiard balls. Notably, five billiard balls spell out “ISHOD”, linking the shoe to the real-life inspiration and off-the-board lifestyle of the rider.
In terms of construction, the collaboration continues its commitment to skate functionality with durable and flexible mesh, overlays for structure, and visible Air cushioning. It is a seamless balance of individuality and wearability that is becoming more and more of a Nike SB brand staple.
