‘She-Hulk’ Actress Tells Fans to Cancel Their Disney+ Sub…

Marvel actress Tatiana Maslany is calling for a Disney boycott, despite currently working with the company.

“Cancel your Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN subscriptions,” the 39-year-old She-Hulk star wrote on her Instagram Story.

The post comes in protest of Disney’s decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel Live! following comments made by the late-night talk show host, in which he speculated about the motives of the alleged gunman who killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Disney owns U.S. network ABC, which airs Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as Hulu — it also holds a majority stake in ESPN. Disney has not confirmed if or when the program will return.

The issue is bigger than one show, though. The indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! leads to a deeper conversation about freedom of expression, which some are saying is now at stake.

Maslany, who is set to reprise her She-Hulk role in Marvel’s upcoming superhero fest Avengers: Doomsday, is attracting both praise and condemnation for the post, which could have drastic implications on her career.

However, she’s not alone. Several other celebrities have voiced similar frustrations. Lost creator Damon Lindelof declared on Instagram that he “can’t in good conscience” work with Disney again unless Jimmy Kimmel Live! is reinstated, while actress Amy Landecker shared a screenshot showing she canceled her Disney+ subscription. Pedro Pascal, Wanda Sykes, and Ben Stiller have also spoken out in defense of Kimmel.
