The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 “Metallic Gold” offers a chance to relive the early-2000s running vibe in a glitzy color.
The TL 2.5 first appeared in the mid-2000s with a futuristic design and full-length Air uniting cushioning.
The new model is decked out in Metallic Gold mesh and synthetic overlays with a contrasting black midsole. Crinkled TPU-style panels and perforations give the silhouette some energy, while the black-outlined Swoosh gives the look some contrast.
The best part about this drop is how Nike updated this heritage style with modern sensibilities. The glossy overlays are decidedly retro, but the finish is a plus for use in a more streetwear-leaning environment.
The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 “Metallic Gold” will be available in Fall 2025 at Nike.com and select retailers for $190.
