Cardi B Rejects Claims She Didn’t Write New Disses: ‘I’m …

Cardi B has hit back at The Joe Budden Podcast for questioning her songwriting capabilities in a new episode.

Following the release of her sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, Cardi’s verses aimed at JT (“Magnet”) and Bia (“Pretty and Petty”) were discussed on the podcast. “Whoever is writing these lines, he is smoking this shit,” Budden said on the episode.

While the show’s crew praised the album, Cardi honed in on Budden’s comments slighting her pen game. “Whoever wrote it?” Cardi said in a since-deleted post on X. “Nah that’s CARDI.. this is my process… I’m a natural roaster and you already know I’m quick with the mouth so I’ll be coming up with lines and I’ll record myself then lay it later..”

She added: “Don’t give me backhanded 10s cuz I’ll always be able to prove my shit.”

On “Magnet,” Cardi drops subliminal verses about an unnamed rival, although many have speculated that the person is JT due to purported lines about her partner, Lil Uzi Vert, and City Girls member Yung Miami.

On “Pretty & Petty,” Cardi calls out Bia by name, dissing her for not having enough hits and alleges that the rapper spent time at Diddy’s house.

In an interview on The Zane Lowe Show last month, Cardi warned that she wouldn’t bite her tongue on Am I the Drama?

“My humbleness, me trying so much to be unproblematic, me trying to avoid drama, avoid the disses, avoid the bitches, avoid the talks, it’s like that shit is dying, that’s dying out in me,” she told Lowe. “Because I’m really about to show you, bitch, that you are not fucking with me.”
