Kimora Lee Simmons Applauds Son’s Debut in the Modeling I…

Kimora Lee Simmons has spent decades setting the pace in fashion, and now one of her youngest is officially stepping into the spotlight.

The Baby Phat founder’s 16-year-old son, Kenzo Hounsou, just landed his first modeling campaign right on the heels of New York Fashion Week. Though Kenzo has spent most of his young life in front of the camera thanks to his famous parents, this is the first time he’s getting the spotlight on his own.

On September 12, Kenzo appeared in a new campaign for the clothing brand Eve. The visuals showcased him balancing two of his worlds—athletics and fashion. In one clip, he’s seen hooping on an outdoor basketball court before making a smooth transition into a car, blending sport with streetwear polish.

For Kenzo, the inspiration behind his style isn’t hard to pinpoint. “Some fashion influences of mine would definitely be my mom, who helps me and talks to me about those types of things,” he told Eve.

He also credited model Alton Mason as someone he looks up to, showing that both family legacy and the new generation of creatives shape his outlook.

Kimora Lee Simmons wasted no time sharing her excitement. Posting the campaign shots on Instagram, she wrote, “So proud of my baby @kenzoklh for his first modeling campaign for @weareeve_ !!! Congratulations! Mama loves you! .”

Kenzo, whose father is actor Djimon Hounsou, is one of five siblings through his supermodel mama.

Simmons is also mom to daughters Ming and Aoki, whom she shares with ex-husband Russell Simmons, as well as sons Wolfe and Gary, the latter of whom she adopted at age 10.

Just a few months ago, Kimora marked Kenzo’s birthday with a throwback post that showed his growth—literally. Standing at 6’7”, he towered over her in one of the photos. “Happy birthday to my 6’7” baby @kenzoklh I’m so proud of you for the young man that you’re becoming!” she wrote.
