Cardi B‘s highly anticipated new album has listeners dissecting every lyric, and one subject that stands out is her ex-husband, Offset.
On Friday (Sept. 19), Cardi dropped her new album Am I the Drama?, and there are several tracks where the rapper appeared to address her relationship with the Migos rapper, whom she married in 2017. While Cardi doesn’t name him outright in the tracks, fans were quick to highlight verses that appear to touch on their public ups and downs, from reconciliations to rumors of tension.
The album marks Cardi’s first full-length project since her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy in 2018. Given how closely her personal life has been tied to her artistry, many expected her to address Offset in some way and she delivered in more ways than one.

“Man of Your Word”
On this track, Cardi reflects on her marriage to Offset and how it fell apart. Cardi wasted no time speaking on her issues with Offset, but she also wished him well in his future: “I really hope you find love, I hope you find a good spirit / I hope she satisfy your needs and everything that I didn’t / And I mean that, it’s a lot of pressure when a bitch an icon / I know things could’ve been perfect in a different lifetime / But I really do wish you the best, continue being a winner / And if I had one wish, I only wish you would’ve been a man of your word.”
“What’s Goin’ On”
Cardi peeled back the layers on her marriage with Offset and how she empowered herself to walk away from the whole situation: “Seems like every day, a new lie (Right) / You fuck anything with two eyes (Facts) / How can you treat me like I ain’t shit? (How?) / N****, on our wedding day, you cried (You cried) / You wrote down some beautiful vows (And then) / Gave my first beautiful child (And then) / Told me you was quiet for all of these hoes / Come to find out you the one loud (Huh?).”
“Shower Tears”
On this track, Cardi highlighted how Offset stepped out on her and slept with multiple women. Cardi even expressed how “sick” she is of arguing and crying over the alleged infidelity.
