Jordan Brand is keeping momentum with its Chinese Zodiac sneaker themes, bringing a fresh take on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Xuan Wu”. These annual designs often launch at the start of the year, but this drop will land later in Fall/Winter 2025 as we head toward the Year of the Horse in 2026.
Chinese mythology is the inspiration behind this release, with a focus on Xuan Wu. The snake and tortoise which adorn the kicks represent protection in Xuan Wu mythology. The black leather upper is detailed with embossed patterns around the heel, depicting both the scales of a tortoise and swirling clouds. The release details add a modern design element and a dose of visual storytelling to the bold look. The low-top version, released in tandem with the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Xuan Wu” from earlier in February, include translucent outsoles with tortoise-shell details that peek out from under the transparent material.
