‘Harry Potter’ Alum’s OnlyFans Account Leads to Conventio…

Actress Jessie Cave, best known for playing the part of Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter franchise, says she was dropped from a Harry Potter fan convention because of her involvement with OnlyFans.

Back in March, Cave, 38, announced that she had joined the subscription platform to post sensual hair-related content, clarifying that her page is “not sexual.” Despite that distinction, Cave took to her Substack on Wednesday, September 17 to write that she was ultimately disinvited from the event.

“I found out that I didn’t get booked for a ‘Harry Potter’ convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans,” wrote the actress. “They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn.’ This was baffling to me as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they’ve done sex scenes and nudity. I’m just playing with my hair!”

Although Cave has said that she feels she’s been pushed out of certain spaces within the Harry Potter fan community, she acknowledges that the franchise is entering a new chapter, especially with a television reboot now underway.

She continued on her Substack: “I am not upset about the prospect of no more ‘Harry Potter’ conventions. There’s going to be a new cast now and it’s a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia.” She also reflected on how income from autograph signings was her main source of earnings in past years, saying she felt fortunate to have had those opportunities. Still, Cave recognized that, “It’s time to move on and play some new characters.”

In the past, Cave has been transparent that she joined OnlyFans to help cover her living expenses and fund renovations on her new home.

Fans of the Wizarding World franchise may remember Cave making her debut as Lavender Brown in 2009’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and returned for both Deathly Hallows installments. Beyond Harry Potter, her credits include appearances on television series like Black Mirror and roles in films such as Great Expectations.
