While he is still recovering from an achilles injury, Jayson Tatum‘s journey with his fourth signature sneaker will begin on the baseball field.

The Jordan Tatum 4 “St. Louis” has been unveiled by Jordan Brand, and the launch colorway for the sneaker features the colors of the St. Louis native’s beloved Cardinals. Redbird Nation is represented strongly with the color of the bird dominating the sneaker with a “high-quality” suede upper, and the massive number 0 on the heel has been made to look like the diamond pendant Tatum frequently wears.

While featuring a similarly wavy but more streamlined appearance to its predecessor, the Tatum 4’s upper boasts four-way stretch in its underlays. Underfoot comes an S-seam Strobel, Cushlon 3.0 midsole and a forefoot Air Zoom unit, and a new TPU shank provides greater stability.

“With the Tatum 4, we set out to build a silhouette that mirrors Jayson’s evolution, not just in how he plays but in how he leads,” Edric Egberuare, Jordan Global Footwear lead product line manager, said in a release. “The combination of Cushlon 3.0, forefoot Air Zoom and a midfoot stability shank delivers the responsiveness and containment elite athletes need, while the close-to-foot design supports quick, confident movement. It’s a performance system built for the grind — and for the next generation of hoopers who see Jayson not just as a star but as a blueprint for what’s possible.”

Tatum himself, who one insider believes may return to the court in early March, added: “Greatness isn’t just about wins. It’s about how you handle setbacks and keep moving forward. Getting back to my best hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has taught me something and made me stronger. I’m not the same player I was before, and I’m proud of that. The Jordan Tatum 4 “St. Louis” will release Oct. 10 through Jordan Brand’s website and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $135.
