Tyra Banks Secures Guest Slot on Final Season of ‘Bel-Air…

Tyra Banks is returning to the Bel-Air universe.

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, NBC and Peacock announced that the prolific supermodel and actress will have a guest appearance on the upcoming fourth season of Peacock’s Bel-Air. According to a press release, the former America’s Next Top Model host will play “a former college classmate with a big personality who Viv is reluctantly reunited with.”

The upcoming fourth season is set to follow Will (Jabari Banks) as he navigates his senior year of high school, grappling the fun and excitement, as well as the expectations that lie before him. Carlton (Olly Sholotan) is also dealing with the fallout of past decisions that could impact his future. The Banks’ family’s butler Geoffrey (Jimmy Akingbola) finds himself at odds with the family’s patriarch Phil (Adrian Holmes), and his loyalties to the family will be tested. Meanwhile, Ashley (Akira Akbar) is beginning her freshman year of high school and is going through a rebellious phase. Family matriarch Vivian (Cassandra Freeman) is also going through a period of reinvention while eldest daughter Hilary (Coco Jones) is going on a journey of self-discovery.

This isn’t Tyra’s first step into the Bel-Air universe. She previously appeared on the famed ‘90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as Jackie Ames from Philadelphia, an ex-girlfriend of Will Smith’s original iteration of Will.

The current iteration is a reimagined dramatization of the sitcom in the form of a grueling drama. Last month, Jones revealed in an interview for Variety that Bel-Air had recently wrapped production. “It was so emotional,” Jones said. “Because I’m very much not a crybaby at work. I’m like, I don’t feel things at work, I clock in, thank you.”

Season 4 of Bel-Air will premiere on Peacock on Monday, November 24, with two new episodes streaming weekly over the course of four weeks.
