Nike Air Max Muse Croc Pack Release Date

Animal prints and textures are starting to become more frequent fixtures of sneakers. The likes of Nike and Adidas have been leaning heavily into fauna for new colorways of their classic sneakers, and now croc skin is coming to one of the newest Air Max models from the former.

The Nike Air Max Muse “Croc Pack” delivers three colorways of the sneaker featuring crocodile-textured leather. The scaly look defines the majority of the uppers in the trio, with the exception of the mesh base visible at the sides and vamp. Each sees its upper rendered monochromatically in brown, blue or black, with all three united by a black sole unit. A small black Swoosh also appears on the sides of the black and brown editions, while the blue gets branding in the same color.

Designed specifically for women, the Air Max Muse made its debut not long after the new year began. Its intended to be worn with the wide pants currently in style, and stylist and designer Veneda Carter has served as the model’s lone collaborator thus far.

Croc-textured leather has also made recent appearances through Nike on the Air Max 90 and Air Force 1 Low, while the wider market has brought the treatment to sneakers, including the Adidas Superstar, New Balance 1906L and a trio of Vans’ silhouettes. The wider animal kingdom has also informed cheetah-print Sambas, an A$AP Rocky x Puma sneaker trio with snakeskin and leopard print and cow-print Jordan mules among many others.

The Nike Air Max Muse “Croc Pack” doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date but is expected to release during the forthcoming holiday window. Pricing is set at $170.
