‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Wendy Osefo and Husband…

Dr. Wendy Osefo, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and her husband, attorney Edward “Eddie” Osefo, have been arrested in Maryland on multiple fraud-related charges.

People reports that the Westminster Police Department confirmed that the couple, both 41, were booked on Thursday, October 9. They are facing 16 charges in total, seven of which are felonies tied to alleged “false or misleading information fraud” exceeding $300.

According to investigators, the charges stem from a reported burglary at their Maryland home after a trip to Jamaica in April 2024. Authorities later alleged one of the supposed missing items — a diamond ring — appeared in a social media post worn by Wendy after the reported break-in.

Police also say that other high-value goods listed as stolen had been purchased and then returned for refunds before the burglary was reported. Prosecutors allege the couple filed an insurance claim for a $450,000 loss in personal property.

Representatives for the Osefos and Bravo did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Wendy Osefo has been part of The Real Housewives of Potomac since season 5, balancing her work as a television personality with her academic and professional career. A former Johns Hopkins University professor, she became the first Black woman to earn a PhD in Public Affairs-Community Development from Rutgers University (Camden). She has also appeared as a political commentator on several major cable networks.

Her husband Eddie is a practicing attorney and entrepreneur, serving as the founder and CEO of the cannabis brand Happy Eddie.

The couple recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in August, sharing tributes on Instagram. They have three children: sons Karter, 12, Kruz, 10, and daughter Kamrynn, 6.

Despite their family milestones, the arrests come just as Wendy is set to appear in Bravo’s newest crossover series, Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition, premiering October 14.
