Virgil Abloh Nike Cryoshot Tiempo IM3886-100 Release Date
A design from Virgil Abloh‘s archives will be released to the public for the first time in 2026, aligning perfectly with the World Cup.
The Virgil Abloh Archive x Nike Cryoshot Tiempo bridges some of the late designer’s signature flourishes with elements from the Tiempo cleat franchise. The shoe itself is an actual cleat with a translucent shell covering its studs, like the other boots being revived for the unreleased Cryoshot series. Abloh’s “Air” mark (quotes included) appears near the lateral heel, while the Off-White zip tie comes with new “V.A.A.” branding. Aside from those two elements, the shoe is otherwise muted in white.
With the Total 90 3 relaunching as a sneaker this year, the Cryoshot series appears set to be the second wave of Nike’s attempt to capitalize on soccer‘s increasing relevance in the lifestyle footwear space. Adidas has largely owned the trend for years with the Samba and Gazelle, and it, too, has started to expand its soccer sneaker offerings ahead of what’s expected to be a landmark World Cup.
Nike’s Cryoshot line will include another take on the Tiempo franchise, as well as the Mercurial. Patta will collaborate on the latter shoe, and with Corteiz founder Clint Ogbenna involved in the rollout, it’s likely his brand will get a collaboration on one of the models.
Abloh’s Cryoshot Tiempo was first shown at “The Codes” exhibition earlier this fall in Paris. The resumption of his Nike sneaker releases, now without Off-White involvement, will include a new colorway of the Air Force 1 Low and a tweaked rerelease of the Air Jordan 1 High.
The Virgil Abloh Archive x Nike Cryoshot Tiempo is expected to release in summer 2026. Footwear News will keep you up to date on any new information.
