Clicks Shake James Adistar Control 5 Cranberry Release Date
The Cranberry 5 comes with a backstory that resonates on a deeper level than most releases.
Shake crafted this colorway after beating cancer and re-building his life. The cranberry hues nod to Wisconsin’s state fruit, but also pay homage to Milwaukee’s people who supported him. The tones feel warm, rooted, and proud. It’s storytelling you can see.
The release also marks the permanent reopening of the original Black Market location as the new home for JAY ACADEMY. The on-site academy will provide year-round support to Milwaukee youth via tutoring, mentorship, creative coaching, DJ classes, and sneaker design workshops. It will provide a space for young people to learn and express themselves.
A series of Milwaukee-first events are planned in partnership with adidas Cornerstone Community and Shake. Expect a Sneaker Fair (think: hands-on, in-person sneaker sessions), grand reopening celebration, comedy night supporting local talent, and an afterparty uniting culture leaders. It’s a community moment, not just a release.
