Aldo Chief Brand and Product Officer Daianara Grullon Amalfitano Exits
Daianara Grullon Amalfitano, chief brand and product officer at Aldo, has left the Montreal-based footwear company, FN has learned.
In a statement, an Aldo Group representative confirmed the news stating that Amalfitano left to “pursue new opportunities” outside of the company.
“Over the past decade, Daianara has contributed to meaningful growth and evolution for the brand, and we are deeply grateful for her leadership,” the Aldo Group rep stated. “As we move through this transition, we’re energized for what lies ahead and hopeful our paths may cross again in a new capacity in the future.”
Amalfitano joined Aldo in 2016 as vice president of global footwear. In the role, she was tasked with overseeing footwear for the company’s brands – including Aldo and Call It Spring – across all channels of distribution and lead the firm’s team of global product managers, developers and designers.
One year later, the executive was promoted to senior vice president of Aldo brand and rose to the position of chief brand and product officer in 2022.
Prior to joining Aldo Group, Amalfitano spent 22 years at Steve Madden, most recently serving as president of specialty brands and international brand manager.
At the time of joining Aldo, the executive told FN in an interview that “it was an incredibly difficult decision” to leave Steve Madden.
“I am a person who seeks and thrives on challenges, growth and opportunity. After meeting with leaders at Aldo,” Amalfitano told FN in 2016. “I quickly understood the vision and transformation they were making. The timing was perfect.”
More recently, Amalfitano led the charge with a new campaign all about strengthening the company’s relationship with its current consumers while also attracting a new generation of shopper. Called “Try Every Thing,” the executive described the initiative as a “transformative brand evolution.”
