The New Balance 1906F Is Set to Release in Spring 2026
New Balance is adding a new style to its 1906 line. The New Balance 1906F is set to arrive in Spring 2026 in two new colorways, including black/gray and white/silver. The New Balance 1906F will take inspiration from the 1906R but with new features, including an update to the sneakers‘ upper.

The 1906F adopts a smooth synthetic foundation similar to the 1906R “No-Sew” series. The new style’s defining feature is a sprawling array of TPU accents in place of traditional leather or suede overlays.
Upon a closer look, the design looks similar to tire marks on the road or perhaps reptile scales, and they add a touch of modernity to the sneaker. The black pair features the accents in a metallic gray, while the white feature them in silver.

The sneakers are staying faithful to the 1906 lineage in most aspects and will feature the Acteva Lite midsole cushioning and Abzorb SBS heel cushioning, which have been present throughout the 1906 line for added comfort. The N-Ergy outsole also provides superior shock absorption, while the brand’s N-Lock webbing system, which are straps integrated with the ‘N’ logo, cinches the midfoot for a more secure, snug, and supportive fit when lacing up.
The N-Lock also enhances the shoe’s stability and prevents the upper from misshaping during movement. The shoes also come with pull laces and a pull tab on the heel for an easy on and off and functional wear.

The 1906 model has been one of New Balance’s trendiest sneakers in recent years. So far the brand has released new styles and new 2000s-inspired designs like the New Balance 1906R, the 1906A model, and the brand’s popular 1906L sneaker loafer. In addition to these two color ways, more New Balance 1906F styles are set to release in 2026, according to Sneaker News. New Balance has not announced an official release date for the 1906F yet.
