Nike Air Max 90 Infrared 3M 2026

The Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared 3M” is set to release in Spring 2026, giving one of Nike’s most recognizable colorways a modern refresh. The original “Infrared” remains deeply tied to Air Max history, dating back to 1990 when Tinker Hatfield redefined visible Air cushioning and performance design.

This upcoming version does not aim to replicate the OG pair line for line. Instead, Nike introduces reflective 3M elements and subtle material changes that update the look without losing its identity. The familiar white, black, grey, and Infrared 23 palette stays intact, which will matter to longtime Air Max fans.

Mesh is ditched around the toe, collar, and heel and replaced with darker grey synthetic panels. These have a durable build and an easy shine to them. Light grey suede overlays remain stacked above a black leather mudguard, holding on to the stacked sensibility that creates the Air Max 90 silhouette.

Infrared elements do the heavy lifting for this colorway, with pops of the bright hue livening up the eyelets, tongue branding, Air Max callouts, and stretches of the outsole. A white midsole and mostly black outsole further roots this build, making it a practical choice.
