Accuser Claims She’s a ‘Me…

Metro Boomin’s civil rape trial began in Los Angeles this week with testimony from the accuser, Vanessa LeMaistre.

As previously reported by Jaelani Turner-Williams for Complex, the testimony saw LeMaistre fielding questions about her use of Ayahuasca. LeMaistre linked this to her ultimate decision to write up a plan to “blow the whistle on Metro Boomin,” per the report.

Elsewhere during Tuesday’s proceedings, as Turner-Williams writes, “tension in the courtroom heightened when it was disclosed that LeMaistre referred to herself as a ‘spirit medium’ in the letter, and that she channelled the producer’s late mother, Leslie Wayne, alleging that she was ‘disappointed’ in her son.”

At this point, Metro is said to have “made a cuckoo sign to his team,” prompting a response from the accuser’s lawyer.

The Ayahuasca letter is also said to have seen LeMaistre writing “I’m a medium,” as well as stating “Your momma (Capricorn woman to Capricorn woman) says she is very displeased with your behavior.”

Metro’s mother, Leslie Wayne, died in 2022.

“You are promoting date rape culture,” LeMaistre is further said to have written in the letter, referencing Metro’s 2017 track “Rap Saved Me” featuring 21 Savage, Offset, and Quavo. “Enough is enough.”

LeMaistre accused Metro of rape and sexual battery in connection with an alleged 2016 incident. Metro, through a lawyer, previously denied the claims against him, calling them “false” and arguing they were an example of a “pure shakedown.”

The trial resumed on Wednesday, Sept. 24. For now, it’s unclear how long, exactly, it will last. For a look back at what all was said on day one, see here.
