Air Jordan 3 Orange Citrus CK9246-101 Release Date

An unreleased Air Jordan 3 sample from 2017 is about to debut nine years later.

The Air Jordan 3 “Orange Citrus” is a new colorway of the shoe model. As the name suggests, it’s orange that brings the flavor to the sneaker, albeit in moderation. White leather forms the majority of the upper and likewise dresses the midsole, while the outsole, lining and elephant take on the citrus color. Jumpman logos on the tongue and mustache both appear in red, with the latter mark getting an orange “Air” text hit beneath. A small bit of additional contrast comes from gray eyelets.

This description is based off the 2017 sample, so it’s possible that the final product does carry some changes.

Another Air Jordan 3 with orange is expected late this year through a collaboration with SoleFly that borrows the colors of the University of Miami. Although the Adidas-signed school itself isn’t involved, the sneaker was revealed during the Hurricanes’ season-opening win by alumni and Pro Football Hall of Famers Ed Reed, Andre Johnson and Edgerrin James.

Another orange iteration came this summer with a “Starfish” edition opting for a canvas and suede upper without the signature elephant print.

In the broader color spectrum, 2026 is also expected to bring a Father’s Day edition of the Air Jordan 3 paying tribute to Michael Jordan’s dad, as well as a Levi’s collaboration and a Restomod retooling akin to the Air Jordan 4 RM.

The Air Jordan 3 “Orange Citrus” will release April 26 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.
