Blake Lively Reportedly Didn’t Reach Out to Taylor Swift …
On Tuesday, August 26, Taylor Swift turned to Instagram to reveal that she and her long-time boyfriend, Travis Kelce, had gotten engaged. It was the news that had everyone buzzing, not just in the United States but across the globe. Some of Swift’s high-profile friends, including Selena Gomez, publicly congratulated her. Many others likely opted to reach out to share their congratulations privately. But one person who reportedly did not reach out was Swift’s former close friend, actress Blake Lively.
An inside source recently shared with The Daily Mail that Lively has no plans to reach out to Swift.
“Blake didn’t reach out [following the engagement announcement] and isn’t going to,” the source claimed. “This isn’t the time. What would be the point of reaching out now? It really makes no sense. [Lively] has bigger fish to fry.”
Over the past year, Lively has been at the center of major legal drama with her former co-star Jason Baldoni. She previously filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment. He denied the allegations and later filed a countersuit against her.
Swift was ultimately brought into the drama when Baldoni publicly shared text messages between him and Lively in which Lively referred to Swift as one of her “dragons.”
“I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better,” one message read.
“Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. [Smiley-face emoji] you will too, I can promise you,” another message said.
Following the release of these messages, Swift and Lively’s friendship hit a rocky point.
According to the inside source, it is not expected that Lively will be in the wedding.
“There’s no ‘will she or won’t she’ about Blake being in the wedding, because she just won’t. She knows that, and I don’t think she particularly wants to talk about that.”
