Cardi B Slams Podcaster Crissle West’s ‘Nasty’ Rant About…

Cardi B brought the drama in response to The Read co-host Crissle West seemingly attacking her decision to have a fourth child.

Just days before releasing her sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, Cardi announced that she and her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, are expecting their first baby together, the rapper’s fourth child overall. But the news received mixed reactions, as Cardi shares three children with her estranged husband, Offset, and Diggs is facing a paternity suit to determine if he’s the father of a five-month-old baby.

West ranted about the matter in a recent episode of The Read podcast, where she scolded Cardi for having another child before finalizing her divorce from Offset and alleged that she isn’t thinking of her children’s welfare.

“It’s not just money. You also need parents who are very mindful and deliberate about bringing you into the world and choosing to guide you into adulthood,” West said. “That is how we raise decent, good people.

She continued, “Yo mama out here giving her pussy to whoever the fuck she wants to and keeping whatever y’all drop off in her fucking uterus is crazy! I was expecting so much more out of Cardi B because you are not just some broke, bored bitch in the Bronx who don’t got shit else to do.”

West defended her stance, explaining in a TikTok that she’s also publicly critiqued the parenting of male celebrities with multiple children, like Cam Newton and Nick Cannon.

The podcaster also shared that in her learning of “child psychology” while pursuing her masters in mental health counseling, she asserted that she doesn’t “play about kids.” “I feel more strongly than ever that y’all need to be doing right by these kids and not deliberately bringing them into chaos and confusion,” she said.

But the explanation still seemed judgmental to Cardi’s Bardi Gang fan base and the Grammy winner herself, who reacted in an X Spaces session on Sunday (Sept. 21). “I think people wanted me to leave my old relationship and then be single for two years and then come back out and date a rich white billionaire and move to Dubai,” Cardi joked.

The rapper reiterated that she’s “very happy and very excited” about what’s next for her, and doesn’t regret having children. “Some people might have opinions on my work, right?” she continued, adding, “But one thing nobody can fuck with me or tell me is about my motherhood. That title? I’ll beat bitches up for that title. One thing I know I am is a great mother.”

Cardi also shared that her three children, Kulture, 8, Wave, 3, and 11-month-old Blossom, live with her in New Jersey and are never too far when she’s working. “Me and my kids are like best friends,” she said. “Because I see them almost every day. I see them every single day. Yes, I have people that help me with my kids, but this ain’t no ‘I just drop them off and someone is raising them for me.’ It’s very clear that’s not what I do.”

“No bitch can tell me about motherhood [if] they don’t have no fucking kids,” Cardi also warned.

Elsewhere, Cardi questioned why West seemed to take her fourth pregnancy personally. “Why you crying that I’m knocked up? Is this your fucking baby bitch? How you mad at me and I’m happy for myself?” she asked.

The rapper announced her pregnancy on CBS Mornings last week and joked that she and Diggs had “a little too much fun” while dating. “We had too much fun. We’re very excited. We’re very happy,” she told host Gayle King.
