Chance the Rapper Declares ‘F*ck ICE’ on ‘Star Line’ Trac…

Chance the Rapper revealed his immigration policy stance on his new album, Star Line.
On the project’s song, “Drapetomania,” the Chicago artist raps in the third verse:
“Tiffany fein in a blue box
401K in a shoe box
Her favorite rapper named 2Pac
Love 2Pac ’cause he shot two cops
I got a 9 millimeter called Thug Life
I got a new chain, it say ‘FUCK ICE’”
In June, Immigration and Customs Enforcement launched a series of raids in Los Angeles. Protests then erupted across LA and other cities as ICE targeted immigrants in workplaces, residential areas, public spaces, and traffic stops, leading to many deportations over alleged immigration violations. The protests prompted President Donald Trump to deploy National Guard troops to LA without Gov. Gavin Newsom’s cooperation.
ICE has also conducted sweeps in other major cities, including Chicago and New York City.
Chance isn’t the only celebrity to speak out against the raids. Cardi B, The Game, Kim Kardashian, Bad Bunny, and Ice Cube have all spoken out against Trump’s immigration policy.
Chano dropped Star Line on Friday, which boasts features from Young Thug, Vic Mensa, Joey Badass, BJ the Chicago Kid, Jazmine Sullivan, and Jamila Woods, among others. The album, which is his second studio offering, marks his first release since 2019’s The Big Day. Star Line also follows Chance’s iconic mixtapes, 10 Day, Acid Rap, and Coloring Book.
