Dean Cain Roasted for Struggling With ICE Physical Traini…

Dean Cain, the former Superman from the ’90s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, is facing widespread mockery after a televised appearance at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) training facility.
The 59-year-old actor recently joined ICE’s recruitment campaign as an “honorary” officer and was filmed attempting an obstacle course in Brunswick, Georgia. The footage showed Cain struggling to scale a wall, crawl through a tunnel, and drag a training dummy. Clips also included him firing at a gun range alongside acting ICE director Todd Lyons.
Viewers quickly seized on the segment, turning Cain’s attempts into viral fodder. One person joked that recruits could “literally just easily run from this dude and not get caught.” Another compared the performance to “a dog agility show but with a senior dog near death.” Others asked if the video had been slowed down, while some argued the footage proved Cain never performed his own stunts on Lois & Clark.
Before footage from the training video went public, other actors also got in on the roasting.
John Leguizamo called Cain a “loser” for signing up with ICE, quipping that his pronouns were “has/been.” Margaret Cho criticized the decision, pointing out that Cain’s Japanese relatives were interned during World War II, asking why he would align himself with the agency.
Cain responded to critics by framing the backlash as a mockery of his support for law enforcement. “What you’re making fun of is me standing up for federal law enforcement and American citizens. If you want to make fun of me for that, go ahead,” he said.
ICE has leaned into the publicity, posting footage of Cain “running” the course on social media to attract new applicants. The agency has recently expanded eligibility by removing age caps and is offering perks, including a $50,000 signing bonus and student loan repayment of up to $60,000.
