Evelyn Lozada Addresses Rumor The Game Knew Daught…

Evelyn Lozada says she considers Tiffney Cambridge to be “cool as shit,” but they’re far from being close friends.

The Basketball Wives star shed more light on the dynamic during a recent appearance on Stepping Into the Shade Room, where she re-addressed her “alleged” betrayal of Cambridge. The allegations began swirling in 2024, when Lozada’s daughter, Shaniece Hairston, announced she was expecting a child with Cambridge’s ex-fiancé, The Game. Many people accused the Lozada of Hairston of breaking girl code, as they were seemingly close with Cambridge, who shares two children with The Game.

“People think that you and Tiffney were really close friends,” TSR host Thembi said at the 49-minute mark. “People think that Shaniece was 12 years old, sitting on [The Game’s] lap… and now your daughter is dating him — or has a child by him.”

Although the baby daddy portion was accurate, Lozada claimed everything else was false.

“It is not true. It is literally a lie that took on a world of its own,” she insisted. “People say anything. It’s not true.”

Lozada then pointed to a resurfaced photo in which Cambridge was seen at her baby shower over a decade ago. The TV personality, who was previously married to Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, acknowledged that Cambridge attended the event, but suggested it was strictly for business-related reasons.

“She was at my baby shower. A lot of people were at my baby shower,” she said. “People also don’t understand industry, right? You gotta think about we’re all on VH1.”

Lozada joined the Basketball Wives franchise in 2010, several years before Cambridge starred in the reality TV series Marrying the Game, which documented her relationship with the Compton rapper.

“Mind you, I think she’s cool as shit,” Lozada said about Cambridge. “She came out with a children’s book (The Little Girl Who Lost Her Smile)… I had posted it, you know, just showing love.”

Although Lozada said she and Johnson had appeared on Marrying the Game, she was confident that Hairston never filmed for the series.

“Me and Tiffney don’t have a dog in this fight. I’m in this situation by default,” Lozada continued, before she was asked if Cambridge had reached out to her. “No, she hasn’t said anything to me, and I haven’t said anything to her. Because, respectfully, like I said, we don’t have a dog in this fight…

“I know [Tiffney] is under the radar; we’re the ones more out here,” Lozada continued. “I’m answering these questions because it keeps coming up. So, again, I feel like we need to address it, and I’m open book. But she would say the same thing. It’s just a rumor and lie that just kept spiraling.”

The Game and Hairston welcomed a baby boy in late 2024 and have reportedly maintained a “great” coparenting relationship.

So, what does the “California Vacation” rapper think of all the Lozada-Hairston-Cambridge drama?

“He probably laughs. He’s like, ‘F-ck everybody,’ you know what I’m saying?” Lozada told TSR. “He don’t comment, he don’t say shit about nothing. I’m hoping to get him on the podcast, but we’re waiting for some things… I got some questions for him.”
