Exclusive Look at Highly Anticipated…

In just over two weeks, boxing fans around the world will be flocking to Netflix to witness a generational showdown between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford.

The fight, set for Sept. 13, finds the two greats squaring off live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Confirmed to be aboard the blockbuster event in an analysis capacity are Max Kellerman and Andre Ward, with Michael Buffer overseeing the main card and Joe Martinez taking on prelims.

“Every once in a while the impossible becomes probable, the birth of a new legend,” Josh Brolin, who can currently be seen in the truly excellent Weapons in a theater near you, says as the narrator of a new trailer charting Álvarez and Crawford’s respective journeys. “They don’t come around every day. They take time, find their place. One step, then another. The punch leads to purpose and when purpose consumes everything else, that hunger becomes fate.”

Brolin continues, “Now what was once improbable becomes inevitable. Two legends from different corners of the world both share the same story, but only one will walk away remembered. That every once in a while now becomes once in a lifetime.”

Both Brolin and Diego Luna have been tapped to narrate Countdown, a new Netflix docuseries set to launch Sept. 4. With it, fans can expect an inside look at the two stars’ paths to Vegas glory.

As for the fight itself, It should be noted that tuning in on Sept. 13 doesn’t require a special subscription or any other additional fees. Instead, per Netflix, anyone with a streaming plan of any level can catch the showdown live.
