Jennifer Lopez Says She’s ‘Never Been Loved,’ Her Exes We…

Jennifer Lopez made headlines this week with a striking claim about her love life.

The 56-year-old star joined The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, October 15, and revealed she doesn’t believe she’s ever experienced real love — despite four marriages and multiple failed high-profile relationships.

When Stern asked if she’s ever been “truly loved,” Lopez didn’t hesitate. “No,” she said. “What I learned is not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they’re not capable. They don’t have it in them. And they gave me what they had. They gave me all of it, every time. All the rings, all the things I could ever want. The houses, the rings, the marriage. All of it. But…”

Lopez explained that she, too, contributed to her relationship struggles, admitting, “I didn’t love myself.” Following her most recent divorce from Ben Affleck, she said she threw herself into therapy, coaching, and spiritual work. “When I got divorced this last time, it was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said. “I was like, ‘I’m gonna figure this out if it kills me.’”

Lopez has been married four times — to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and Ben Affleck — and was also engaged to Alex Rodriguez.

But while she insists her partners weren’t capable of giving her the love she needed, her exes have publicly pushed back with very different accounts.

Noa, her first husband, said Lopez’s version leaves out key details. He claimed their marriage fell apart when her fame skyrocketed after Selena. According to him, Lopez “was really enjoying the media attention,” and her close working relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs created cracks in their relationship.

He also recalled Lopez telling him that she couldn’t have children at the time because it would interfere with her career goals. “I was heartbroken,” Noa said, adding that once she achieved what she wanted, he was “no longer needed.”

That starkly contrasts Lopez’s framing of being the unloved one. Where Lopez describes partners who weren’t emotionally capable, Noa described a wife whose ambition and hunger for the spotlight left little room for their marriage.

So while Lopez acknowledges only seeing “glimpses” of true love, the question of whether that’s because of her partners — or her own choices — remains.
