Metro Boomin Civil Rape Trial: Verdict Reached

Metro Boomin’s civil rape trial began in Los Angeles this week, with the defense criticizing elements of the accuser’s claims as “pretty disturbing.” Now, a verdict has been reached.

Thursday, Metro was found not guilty on all four claims. In court, Metro is said to have wiped tears from his eyes. He was also patted on the back by lawyer Justin H. Sanders.

Per on-the-ground reporting for Complex by Jaelani Turner-Williams, the accuser, Vanessa LeMaistre, continued her testimony in court on Wednesday, Sept. 25, on what she alleges transpired starting in 2016. April D. Thames, a UCLA psychology professor and expert witness, also testified on Wednesday.

At one point in Wednesday’s proceedings, per reporting by Turner-Williams, the defense called it “pretty disturbing” that the plaintiff in the trial “talks to dead people in her mind.”

As previously reported, an alleged letter penned by LeMaistre saw her describe herself as a “medium” who once spoke with Metro’s late mother.

In his own testimony, Metro called the claims against him “beyond insulting.” If found liable in the trial, Metro, as detailed here, would have owed damages. During the trial, Lil Wayne was mentioned, as was the accuser’s on-the-stand remarks about her alleged Ayahuasca use.
