Nike Field General ‘Zebra’ and ‘Cow’ Pack IM5768-001 IM5768-200

No matter the athletic footwear company, animal prints on low-profile sneakers have become a staple look in 2025. From Adidas’ cheetah-printed Sambas to Puma’s spotted Speedcats, nearly every brand has offered its own version of the trending style. Nike isn’t immune from the fad, either, as its throwback Field General model has already undergone some safari-friendly makeovers. Adding to the Beaverton, Oregon-based sportswear brand’s options for the revived eighties sneaker are two new fur-clad colorways.

The Nike Field General will soon be released in new Cinnamon/Sail/Gum Dark Brown and Black/Black/Sail looks. The former takes on a brown cow print pattern, while the latter is a black-and-white zebra look. Despite their mismatched colors and motifs, both of these new Field General styles use identical paneling with faux pony hair covering the toe tip, eyestay and heel counter of each pair. Elsewhere, both use canvas bases with leather Swoosh logos and heel tabs.

These latest looks aren’t the first time animal print has been placed on the Field General. Previous iterations have covered the Swoosh in spotted patterns, while other cow and zebra styles have also been offered. 

Originally created as a cleat for football quarterbacks and released in 1982, the Field General was unearthed from Nike’s archive for the first time in 2024. It’s received numerous general releases and a collaboration with Los Angeles sneaker stalwart Union. The model is offered in a variety of kids, women’s and men’s looks, although the two pairs pictured here will come exclusively in women’s sizing. 

The Nike Field General typically retails for $105 to $125 depending on the materials used. While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed for these two animal print styles, readers can expect them to be released soon. The cow print pair’s style code is IM5768-200, while the zebra variation has a style code of IM5768-001.
