Prison Inmates Planned to Make Bryan Kohberger’s Life Hel…

Bryan Kohberger is the man convicted of killing four Idaho college students inside their home on November 13, 2022. The victims included Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Ethan Chapin. On July 23, 2025, Kohberger was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences.
Kohberger is now just a short time into that sentence and is already experiencing the hell that is life behind bars. According to a new report, his fellow prison inmates have been tormenting him, something they planned to do before he even got there.
“The inmates were apparently waiting for him,” homicide detective Chris McDonough told NewsNation. “And when he got there, they are now making his life absolutely miserable.”
“They got together and said, ‘OK, well, you know, how do we harass this guy?” he continued. “And apparently, they set this up long before he got there … the guards were unaware of it until it started happening.”
Kohberger is being held in a maximum security prison in Idaho and currently remains in solitary confinement. While his fellow prisoners may not be able to touch him, at least not yet physically, they are doing absolutely everything they can to make his life as miserable as possible.
“They’re utilizing the vent system. They’re kicking the doors. They’re taunting him,” McDonough said. “And they’re basically, you know, torturing him through, you know, using psychology. And my goodness, he’s complaining.”
Kohberger has reportedly complained multiple times to prison staff that he is unable to sleep at night because of the constant torment. However, it doesn’t appear that it is going to stop any time soon.
“The inmates have come up with a creative idea in harassing him to the point where it’s basically driving him crazy,” McDonough said.
Eventually, Kohberger will be placed within the general population of the prison, where the harassment will likely continue.
