Rapper El Moreno Mexicano Arrested Over Fatal Car Crash

Mexican rapper El Moreno Mexicano has been arrested following his involvement in a car crash that left one person dead in Indianapolis over the weekend.
According to IndyStar, El Moreno Mexicano, born Brayan Camacho Calleja, has been preliminarily charged with driving under the influence resulting in death, driving under the influence while endangering a person, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08, and driving without a license.
Formal charges will soon be determined by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
Camacho Calleja was allegedly behind the wheel of a red Dodge Charger when his vehicle was involved in a crash with a black GMC Yukon, shortly before 3 a.m. on Sept. 20. While positioned in a nearby parking lot, officers witnessed the aftermath of the incident in which the Dodge Charger slid over a sidewalk and collided with an apartment building.
Officers observed Camacho Calleja and a woman trying to flee the scene after exiting the vehicle. According to court documents, authorities noticed the rapper had “bloodshot and glossy eyes,” and a strong smell of alcohol from his breath while speaking with him.
Officers found out that Camacho Calleja’s lone form of identification at the time was a Mexican Consulate Card. He did not have a license to drive in Indiana.
Camacho Calleja rebuffed efforts to administer a blood alcohol level test, but was ultimately left with no choice when officers got a warrant.
Aaron Deandre Radford, 31, was ejected from his black GMC Yukon. Radford was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
