Rising Star Adéla Nailed One of Her First Red Carpets at the 2025 CFDA Awards

This summer, Slovak pop star Adéla released her first EP, titled The Provocateur—and her infectious bops have been taking off ever since. Whether you realize it or not, you most definitely have heard her hits “Superscar” and “SexOnTheBeat.” Given her rising star in the music world, it’s surprising that Adéla is still relatively new to the red carpet scene. Last night at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City, she made a splashy appearance—in a sculptural Marc Jacobs look that stole the show. “I’ve been on two carpets in my entire life—three now,” says Adéla. “I am still figuring that out. You can watch me do it in real time. . . how fun.”

Working with stylist Chris Horan (who is also responsible for dressing pop girls like Charli XCX), Adéla was excited to bring a bold fashion moment to the ceremony. She was able to partake in the evening as a special guest of Mac. “I have been a fan of the brand since I was a little girl in Slovakia,” she says. “It has shaped my view on beauty for years. I still have my Ariana Grande Viva Glam lip duo—my first MAC product, which I bought shortly after they came to Slovakia. I’ll cherish it forever, although it’s far past its expiration date!”

Knowing the mood of the night—which is all about celebrating American fashion, and dialing the drama up on the step-and-repeat—Adéla looked to Marc Jacobs for an eye-catching design. She landed on a voluminous, dark-yet-romantic look from his fall 2025 collection. “I loved the boning and structure of the dress,” she says. “The fact that it could stand up on its own—sickening.” Sickening in a good way, of course. To match the theatricality of the clothing, she chose some truly staggering platform boots—her favorite detail of the whole ensemble. “I loved the shoes,” she says, adding that she is a fan of a skyscraper stiletto. “The less walkable, the better.”
