Rubi Rose Stops Gervonta Davis and Jake Paul From Fightin…

Rubi Rose had to step in between Gervonta Davis and Jake Paul during their pre-fight face-off to keep them from tearing each other apart.

In footage from their second press conference in Miami, Davis and Paul nearly came to blows when Paul stepped a little too close for Davis’ comfort during the face-off. Davis responded by pushing him, prompting Paul to try to push back — which led Davis to cock his fist, ready to connect knuckles to teeth.

Before a cutscene resembling Street Fighter 8 could unfold for the audience, Rose stepped in front of the two men, immediately calming the boiling blood underneath their epidermises and returning the vibes to a good level.

Davis and Paul presumably had some bad blood due to the war of words they exchanged at their New York City press conference on Sept. 22. Paul called Davis “stupid as fuck” after the latter seemingly fumbled the date for the match that’ll take place on Netflix.

When explaining how he trained for the fight, Paul made jokes about Davis’ short stature. “There’s a lot of punching down,” joked Paul. “Practicing hitting below my knees, and a lot of speed. We’re sparring some 8-year-olds, I got 8-year-olds in there.”

Davis interrupted him with what sounded like a threat involving Paul’s head coach. “I know one thing,” Davis said. “If I [find] out anything, I’m going to beat your ass and I’m going to beat J’Leon Love’s ass. On my momma, I’m going to beat both of your asses.”

Paul and Davis’ fight will take place over the course of 10 three-minute rounds. It’ll stream live on Netflix on Nov. 14.
