The Brand Behind Her Crystal Shoes

Living “The Life of a Showgirl” means wearing René Caovilla shoes, according to Taylor Swift.
The superstar has unveiled the album art for her twelfth studio effort, releasing Oct. 3, and Swift is featured sporting a pair of the luxury brand’s Chandelier sandals.
Swift serves quintessential burlesque energy in a newly released photograph credited to Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, wearing the Chandelier sandals with a stage-ready pink feathery number from The Blonds’ fall 2025 collection. Aligning with her ornate headpiece and jewelry, the René Caovilla shoes live up to their moniker. Slender straps and a sinuous ankle strap — the signature serpentine design of the brand — are dripping with crystal pendants, à la an elaborate light fixture. A stiletto heel, meanwhile, makes them all the more attention-grabbing.
The Chandelier style, one René Caovilla is well known for, was interpreted as part of a bridal footwear collection for Gaurav Gupta, which recently hit the runway in India, and it was included in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in October as well.

Swift’s album art through the years has showcased a range of fashions, whether it’s the sweeping purple dress of “Speak Now,” the distressed shirt of “Reputation,” or the plaid coat of “Evermore.” This time around, she appears to be fully leaning into glitz and glamour sartorially as she will seemingly explore “The Life of a Showgirl.” She previously delved into this aesthetic with the music video for her song “Bejeweled,” which featured burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese.
With the album art of “The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift’s glamorous and sultry looks continue — another photo offers a glimpse of ruby red bejeweled knee-high boots accompanying a bodysuit and long gloves.

On her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift wore a range of custom Christian Louboutin shoes that matched her outfits with light-catching crystal embellishments. Time will tell which other footwear brands will join René Caovilla in Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” era.
